Who should run the Peace Corps in Washington?

The political process in Washington sets the tone and strategy for the Peace Corps.  The Returned Peace Corps Community should have a voice in letting Washington - and Barack - know who we think would be the best at running the Peace Corps.  Maybe you have specific individuals in mind who would make a terrific addition to the Peace Corps operation, let him know.  Maybe you know what type of person would do the best job, let him know.  One of the reasons that some Peace Corps Directors and staff haven't been as spectacular as we deserve is that there hasn't been a way to let Washington know.  Put in your suggestions below.

I have nothing from Obama and assume that I'm not being considered. I tried the internet grassroots.

The next Director for Peace Corps should be Kevin F. F. Quigley, Ph.D., President of the National Peace Corps Association. He is the best person for the job and will work with anyone who has an interest in Peace Corps. He is active in every aspect of Peace Corps and you can even send him an email and get a response. I have worked with Mr.Quigley through the internet on Peace Corps issues and he is the best person for Peace Corps and the Peace Corps Volunteers.

I can't wait to work with him as the Director of Peace Corps!

I got the email. NPCA, Morepeacorps, RPCVs for Obama and all the other groups that Peace Corps has created and we never requested a meeting with Obama? We have all these plans for the transition and inauguration and we never requested a meeting?

We need to request a meeting with Obama now. Let's get together and meet with Obama!!!

I can still be hired and am ready to go. The internet grassroots will look great!

The 'You Tube Presidency' is a great idea. My email is here on your site and I would like the job. I am qualified and have been doing this for over 15 years. It would be nice to see the political process reverse.

I think the Peace Corps Foundation is a good idea, but we can better serve by moving with USIP. Influencing public policy can be done this way and it will keep Peace Corps separate from US foreign policy like UN/US sanctions and dictators; practicing post genocide and post conflict survivor resolution.

Chris is a great idea. I'd ask him why PC has stayed Fiji when all foreign aid has been banned by the US, the UN and most countries since the military coup took over and destroyed the native government; some who left.

Where's the Ombudsman?

I don't have millions of dollars from Peace Corps to fund the National Peace Corps Association or morepeacecorps.

I don't have paid Peace Corps lobbyists at Congress or the White House.

I'll say Bill tried to double PC!

I'll say it's okay that PC took 10 million out of the foreign military aid budget!!

I know as much as Biden(Peace Corps)and can give some great advice!!!

I'm not an evangelist, but I'll say it's okay if employees are assigned a congregation and preach.

I'll say forced assignments are okay and won't affect future employment and the five year opportunity law shouldn't apply to FSOs and Congress 'cause it's just not right to let more people serve when the ones who do are the sons and daughters of previous employees.

I'll say Obama Nation sounds cool except for the abomination joke.

So I'm not Biden or Dodd.

I have studied the issues closer than any Congressmen!

I will say that political briefings are bad if it's spy stuff, I'll enforce the Hatch Act with employees and their 2 and five year limits 'opportunity law' and I'll also say recess appointments set a bad tone.............
